Yes, we can. To disable the deduction types follow the below steps:
Step 1: Go to Payroll --> Payroll Settings --> Salary Components /Types Tab.
Step 2: Now view the Deduction types and click on the View icon(Eye Icon), for which deduction type (PF/ESI/Profession Tax) that you want to disable in the Deduction Types grid.
Step 3: On clicking on View icon, selected deduction type popup will be displayed.
Step 4: Now select the Disable radio button and then click on "Save" button.
Step 5: Upon clicking on "Save" button, the confirmation message will be displayed. And at the selected deduction type a warning icon will be displayed, to know that deduction type is disabled.
