SumoPayroll comes with some predefined roles that are built in. You can view them by clicking on the Roles Menu 

(Administration -> Roles)


The following are standard roles that are available by default within SumoPayroll.


Standard Roles: 


The following roles are standard and cannot be modified. However, you can always make a copy of it and make changes to the roles:

  • Super Admin

  • Employee

  • HR Manager

  • Payroll Manager

  • Accountant


Custom Roles:

  • You can create a specific role and assign specific access privileges within the application.

  • You can do that by either copying an existing role and making changes to it or you could start from scratch.

  • You can start creating a new Role by going to the Administration menu and clicking on the “Roles” menu.
